Humayun's Tomb

Children on a school field trip.  Yes, it was a Saturday!

It is my first full day here in Delhi and what an interesting day it has been.  I will condense this as much as I can, although the details are what make it so special.

First, it is raining and that really screwed up all my plans.

We went to the President's House for the 10:00 am changing of the guard only to find out  that because is was going to rain it was cancelled.  Too bad for me because it is only on Saturdays. Next we went to the entrance gate to the President's House, but it was just to misty and gray to even take photos (next time).  Next we went to a World Heritage Site,  Humayun's Tomb.  I walked the not so insignificant distance from the car park on a stone pathway to the tomb.  It was quite cool with the wind and the drizzle.  Finally, on approaching the the final entrance I just gave up and never did enter the tomb itself.  Now this is where Wikipedia and YouTube really come in handy.  Humayun's Tomb - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
