Our final stop on the road was a very emotional experience.  I started this yesterday, but could only bring myself to post today.

India's first cow hospital.  It is completely run on donations and was started by Gau Rakshak Kushalji Maharaj.

Upon entering the gate, immediately to the right is the "floor" for the handicapped cows. They are unable to stand, either due to birth defects, accidents, or other health issues.  It was so very very very sad to see some of them trying to get up and being unable to.  The ones who had been there some time, no longer tried.

Then there are the huge cauldrons of food being cooked.  Lunch is at 3pm, but we were there about 1pm.

Beside that is the "cancer floor".  Most cancers occur in the horn.  The dressings are changed daily.  One poor soul had both cancer of the horns and eyes.  His dressings covered most of his face.  I could not look anymore, couldn't go to the next floor,  nor take more photos.

The tears were streaming down  my face and I just wanted to leave.  I left a donation and got in the car with many mixed thoughts going through my mind.
